MyJoyOnline reports that the Bono Regional Hospital in Sunyani was officially inaugurated as Sunyani Teaching Hospital, a 350-bed facility approved by Cabinet in February 2023. President Nana Akufo-Addo said the hospital would become “a centre of excellence in Ghana and beyond” with continued government support, while Medical Director Dr Cardinal Newton noted the conversion “requires significant resources, both financial and human” alongside innovative teaching programmes.
